Where tuition usually goes wrong here
Tamil Nadu is the state where board marks are the admission. Engineering seats through TNEA are allotted on Class 12 marks rather than on a separate entrance exam, so the gap between "good enough to pass" and "good enough to get the seat" is measured in single marks — and single marks in a state-board paper are won on exactly the things one-to-one teaching is good at: full-mark answer structure, the problems the textbook sets and nothing else, and the mistakes this particular student keeps making.
NEET is the exception that bites. It is a national paper, it is objective, and it does not reward a state-board answer style — which is why a Biology student with excellent Class 12 marks can still open the NEET paper and find it unfamiliar. Families aiming at medicine are effectively running two courses at once, and that is worth saying on the call so the teacher we match has taught both.
