Where tuition usually goes wrong here
Pune's science culture puts the pressure a year earlier than families expect. The year that decides a JEE or MHT-CET outcome is Class 11 — mechanics, calculus and physical chemistry — and it is also the year a student has just changed school, changed syllabus and lost the Class 10 scaffolding. The students who struggle in Class 12 are usually not struggling with Class 12; they are paying for a Class 11 that went by too fast.
That is the case for one-to-one rather than a batch at this stage: a batch moves at the syllabus's pace, and a Class 11 gap does not announce itself until the first unit test.
